Ten days of films about buildings, shown in warehouses along the river. The poster is a quay wall, built from the festival’s name.

Brief
Kade screens at 14 venues along four kilometres of the Maas quays, and every screening has to be found from the street. The budget allowed one ink and cheap paper, and the festival wanted a different poster for every screening instead of one poster for all of them.
Approach
The four letters of KADE are stacked and extruded like a quay wall, set in Valk Grotesk Black. Each screening gets its own crop of the same drawing, so 212 posters come from one drawing and a spreadsheet. Time and venue sit in the bottom corner at one size. The posters were wheat-pasted along the route, so the crops form a trail from venue to venue.
Result
Four of the ten evenings sold out, and the posters were gone from the lampposts within a day, so the festival ordered a second run. The system was selected for the Rotterdam Poster Biennale 2025.
